I have read the same thing in today's newspaper too. Well, yes most of the Doctors gives same advice and it is important which should be follow by all mothers.

Breastfeeding in truth is the nature's best anecdote that makes a woman immune to a host of deadly illnesses including breast cancer. But unfortunately, because of emancipation and increased orientation towards career, more and more women are ignoring it completely! It is the best weapon provided by nature to protect both mother and child but no one wants to take it up any more.

Moms who avoid breastfeeding should consider that babies get stronger with prolonged breast feeding.

Very true ! One should breast feed the bay at least for 6 months if not more....Ideally if you can you could feed until the baby is a year old ! But in the initial months the bay should be given only breast milk and top feeds only when the milk is not sufficient !

It is true and max doctors say this. It has a scientific reason also. The first yellow milk works as protector of many diseases at early stage.
