Instead the IAS officer has been issued with letter calling for her explanation and a charge sheet is said to be under preparation.

Every honest officer doing his duty as per rules in UP faces such actions every once in a while. My father was suspended three times and was never got his due promotions unless he appealed in tribunals. His last promotion came after 4 years of his retirement.

Whatever punishment this young lady has earned is actually a rare badge of honor for her!!! You have to take a hard look at the person who has handed out this punishment!! A corrupt son of an equally if not more corrupt father!!!!

She truly justified her name - Durga! But she had paid the price of being honest and sincere towards her duties.

A samajvadi leader has boasted in a meeting that he got the IAS officer suspended within 45 minutes. This has fully exposed the ruling party in U.P. Meanwhile the case is being heard in Allahabad High court.

The issue is being debated by serving and retired officers. This is a controversial matter. Indian Administrative service or its predecessor Indian Civil service was considered steel frame of administration. There is need to preserved this steel frame as a apolitical organization insulated from political and outside intervention. An officer should be responsible only to next senior and nobody else. This is what is called unity of command. Presently any street level politician or even a distant relative of powerful politician can intimidate even a senior officer. Needless to say, IAS is the mechanism through whih any government functions.

Durga Shakt's suspension needs be immediately revoked. There is no allegation against her justifying suspension.

All are alike. Akhilesh punished in UP to IAS. In Haryana and Rajasthan IAS suspended for raising finger on deals of Sonia Gandhi's sun-in-law's dealing in real eastate. Everyone know that Mr. Rabort is taking benefit of congress government in these states and making billion.

Actually BJP and Congress are leaderless in U.P. Samajvadi party and Bahujan Samaj party rule by turn.

Akhilesh has far surpassed even his own father with respect to controversies and injustices. Somehow Mulayam Singh managed to not make himself hated by people in general, but within a short period of time, Akhilesh has managed that well quite nicely proving he is better than his father in that respect!! :blink:

Obviously because there is a public outrage over her suspension, the govt is trying to give it a communal colour thinking that by giving the issue a communal turn, maybe at least the Muslims will not oppose her suspension but reverse has happened.

Whatever it may be the incident has become open. The image is damaged.The concerned involved is subjected to lot of mental tension. It remains as a blotch even after the concerned is proved innocent after enquiry.

Akhilesh Yadav regrets posting Durga shakti to an important place like NOIDA. He says that she was posted there on humanitarian ground on request of her husband. But how is such posting considered as on humanitarian ground. It is government policy to post husband and wife at one station as far as possible. Thus she was posted according to policy and not humanitarian grounds.

It appears that on her reinstatement, she will be sent to a less important post.
