Yes, it may tend to affect the people who have not yet decided whom to vote for in the election. They might go with the results of opinion poll ie, if the opinion poll says this person will win, then the person may also vote for him .

Yes some affects opinion of voter and also opinion of speculator.
ban on opinion poll is a right decision as it may affect the voters to take decision.
I think it is a good decision by the elction comission, opinion polls do manipulate the mind of the voters to a certain extent, so banning it before the elction would probably make the voting fair and free of prejudices by the media..
Most of the voters in a country where literacy is less will generally have an uncertain attitude. They will be looking for a clue or lead. Its here pre election opinion polls will give them the much needed lead. And thereafter ‘Mob mentality’ takes charge. Pre election opinion polls will certainly influence such people who are in majority.
I hail this ban.
I think, Ban on Opinion Polls is a right decision of Election Commission.
This decision stop to waste money on polls
Although opinion polls influence to a certain limit but I don't think people change their voting trend. The area for polls are poles apart once the election in a particular part is over.
