A bizarre news of mass pregnancy test of brides at a common wedding ceremony has been reported from Madhya Pradesh. Some brides were found pregnant and disqualified for wedding.

What do you think about such tests conducted publicly?

I think the money was involved and scheme was exclusively for unmarried ones so they conducted the test.
Its nothing bad in it its better not to marry than to have a failed marriage. :)

This is okay. But should such tests be public. Why these cannot be private.

Of course they should be private and should not be publically disclosed. :)
I think the tests were private but the result had to be public since they tried to cheat the purpose. No one will dare do that next time.

Money lures. But Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna. is silent about 'pregnancy is a disqualification.' Janpad Panchayat CEO BK Singh, however, denied the report.

You know, we people try to game system in every field, so the test was mandatory. Reports should made pubic so no more cases happen like this.
I just read the news in a daily. The scheme was meant for only unmarried girls and has no provision for pregnant woman (married or unmarried). They were trying to get the benefits that were not meant for them.

Actually newspapers and electronic media tries to play with sentiments of public, they never see the legal aspect of a matter. They must sell, that is the whole game plan.

Indian Media is known for, "Ready to stoop down to any level for a price" attitude.
