Selfishness and greed as well as the tendency to get benefits that you have not earned by work- are the reasons behind corruption. We usually refer to corruption as bribe by public servants but this is very wide- dowry, tax evasion, cheating customers and clients- all these are corrupt practices.

Hypocrisy at all levels is the main cause of corruption coupled with greed, materialistic attitude!

Humans are easily drawn towards bad things. In addition to this, bad implementation of laws and unholy nexus between law makers and law breakers are some of the reasons for rampant corruption.

Nowadays corruption spreads very fast in our Country.The main reason for this corruption is Necessity.Yes,the demand for an individual and also for a family increases but the income is low.And also corruption occurs for malpractice.

Basically it is because of greed more than need ! Al the needy people are not corrupt but greed can easily lead one to go astray...Also a corrupt population gets a corrupt leader and governance, what else can one expect ?

Main cause of corruption is greed. People want more all the time.

I believe in austerity. My heart weeps when i see the extravagance and grandeur spent on marriages. I know people going for big loans to celebrate marriages and end up in neck deep problems. In order to get a loan people resort to all sorts of unfair and corruptive ways. This is not necessary. They could have been avoided .

thanks, gulshan kumar ajmaniji, ramkumarji and others for your insight. i was feeling extremely letdown by corruption all around me. glad to know other people also share the same anguish and have analysed it to such a degree. lets take a pledge to cut down expenses in marriages and other functions.

Now a days everyone wants to be the best and want to show off about the things what they don't have and for that they need money and corruption takes place....if a person remains happy and satisfied then he will never desire for more money and will be away from corruption....
