Film producer Rituparno Ghosh dies

It is a sad news for Bengali cinema. Film maker Rituparno Ghosh is no more. He died of cardiac arrest. He had several movies to his credit.

Rituparno, highly talented, film maker blessed with a high sense of aesthetic and ability to tell stories and handle actors. His death is a huge loss to the entire film industry. May his soul rest in peace.

It is sad indeed especially since he was only 49 years old and had he lived, would have contributed a lot to the film industry since he was a quality film maker.I have seen his film Raincoat and Choker bali both with Aishwariya Rai , bth excellent films ...May hs soul rest in peace !

I read the news sometime back and was really moved upon reading that. He just wasn't indeed a face in the crowd. He made his niche in the industry. RIP!!!

It is a very very sad day for Indian films, I am too shocked to convey my feelings! He was just not a great film maker. He was a great social reformer as issues raised in his films are very socially profound. A great tragedy has struck Indian films. By the way he was not a producer of films in the strictest sense of the term. RIP, Rituparna Ghosh!! The Indian film would never forget you and your brilliant works!!

Do you know Ushaji, the entire Bachcan family worked with Rituparno. Amitabh Bachchan worked in The Last Lear, while Jaya Bachchan worked in Sunglass. Ash worked in Raincoat and Chokher Bali Jr. B in Antarmahal.
