Mangalore too has had the highest temperature recorded ever at 38 degrees and a combination of nearly 80% humidity makes it extremely unpleasant...Thankfully we have had some showers and the monsoons are expected early this year in the first week of June, so not many days of heat ...

Thank God. It is only 37 degrees here at Tamilnadu. Very less compared to the northern states.
Normally southern states do not have very high tempertures although Northern parts of Karnataka does see temperatures going up to 42 -43 degrees...
Even in the North East India, the temperature usually does not go beyond 35 degree or so. In Imphal it has been raining for the past few days. In the morning the temperature was 21degree.

You are right. But with each passing year, the mercury is certainly going to raise as against where it used to stay normally. Pollution is a big factor in this along with cutting trees.
There is more to come, apparently Delhi may see 46 degrees by tomorrow...If the monsoons set in as expected by the end of next week, things would cool down...

There were some rains here in the last week and at the beginning as well. However, they were far off from my place. But things were looking really cool during those days.
