I have shifted to Delhi 3 months ago and the temperature has reached 43 degrees here. It is almost impossible to go out during noon. Those staying in North India and in Delhi, how do you deal with the excessive heat?

Here in my state AP also, the mercury is touching daily 45 degrees. Mostly people restrict themselves to the indoors. Luckily children are saved because of summer vacations.
Well, I don't know how to respond. I am in Maharashtra and the temp. still goes beyond 40. I guess, we will experience hotter days with each passing year due to global warming.
Yesterday in Mangalore we had a very hot day at 36 degrees and with the added humidity it was exhausting so 43 degrees is too much for me to imagine....

Being a sea side place, we too face the same humidity problem. Now you can imagine the plight of the people who face 45 degrees plus humidity.
This is not only in Delhi.. Many parts of India are facing the temperature above 40 degree. In our area there is same situation. But I don't know why, but now I am getting used to of it. No more effects.. he he
Just 40, UP is burning with 43. Weather forecast says the temperature will increase in upcoming days. I don't know what will happen :(
It is only beginning of summers yet but the temperature is a little too high this year, so were the winters. I guess the mercury is expected to touch 50 soon in near future so keep ready to deal with it. Lot of water and protection from all points possible.

Fortunately for the coastal Andhra, the weather man predicted rains. And I started feeling the cool breeze already. A great relief from the sweltering heat.
This is the start of Delhi's hot temperature.Last year the temperature reached to 50 degree. So better to avoid going out in the sun.

Temperature is not that high today but is around 40 in Delhi beside sun strokes have not started hitting people once it gets underway, it would hit harder where people need to be more cautious.

Yes here we also have not high temperature. Yesterday Jaipur had some rain. We are not feeling need of coolers here.
We are delaying use of AC yet to keep in normal fan air besides the electric supply is too bad in this area.

Thankfully we have no problems of electricity supply in our area. Already started using the AC. Though the real Delhi summer is just starting. :P
Lol.. Here also there is no problem of electricity( well can be worse any time so no need praise it more :D) but still we never used AC so far. I guess we just became used to of this temp. But can't be sure about next days as temp is look like raising...

Yesterday saw the news that there was rain in some of cities. Well in that case temperature may come down.
