Where is leader board point competition?

I think you mean 'Leader Board'. Just see the Home page. You will find leaders of current weak as well as last week.

Yes Sandhya is not present these days and I find forum not being so much active these days like it used to be in the past.

EVen I too feel its not easy to gain points now so I also have limited my work on the forums here. :(

What will be use of this site if there is no member active. To remain life of any thing that should be active all the time anyway.

Forum discussion is only a part of the entire Boddunan. Administration revises the points and rewards system time to time with a view to encourage the less performing sections. The articles and Questions section were lagging behind and so steps were taken to encourage those more than forum. If there is more activity on articles and questions and need arises to encourage Forum, policy may again change. Let us work according to admin policy. There is enough scope for earning and points in present system.

Sandhya is too busy making big money on other sites so she is not interested in forums here. Perhaps reduction of points has made all the difference in participation.

Santosh never mind the alexa, I did a thorough study of site last night and was surprised to see the revenue taking a sharp north bound movement. good for site.

I agree but now is the time for admin to recheck the point system as I feel people are going away from the site now.

Believe me or not forum posts used to get 3 points for 2 years after boddunan started, later revised to 5 but short lived. The activity neither skyrocketed nor south bounded because of the changes IMHO. Ofcourse we do revise the points time to time but it is too short time to take decision on recently made change.

My honest feeling on this count simply is that alexa rank could neither be the barometer nor thermometer to determine the exact course of Boddunan. The very fact that the site is kicking and alive for so many years bears testimony to the fact that site is ready to face the dynamics of situations and which does call for timely changes being brought in. There could not be any sure-fire prescription for achieving dramatic progress in this regard. Although I have been away for altogether different reasons but I firmly believe and subscribe to what is already is known. Only the quality quotient - nothing else can take us to a new high and forum could not be a medium for that. We have to turn in quality articles in good numbers to improve our standing. That's all about it!

@ SJ- I think you are part of the site so why should you shy away if you have any thing to share with admin?
