What is the cause behind failure of 'mass movements'. The fact is that there is overwhelming majority of corrupt and dishonest people and every mass movement includes these very people. No doubt every person in such mass movement wants change but does not want to change himself.

Yes it right the peoples who can't full fill their aspiration and lust in one party move to new party. I think it is very hard to find the person who want to only serve country and its peoples. I just saw here in election of youth congress that candidates are spending huge amount in these elections. They are spending it to recover in future 10 or 100 times.

You are jocking, who care here for Mahatma Gandhi. All wants money and power.
But if things continue in the same manner where scam a day is the order, people at some stage are bound to get fed up and there may be dangerous outcome ....A organised mass movement if it happens ( though given the mentality of the Indian masses , is a doubtful proposition) is any day better than goondaism and people taking law into their hands !

The issue is that 98% of our people are corrupt. So, what will a mass movement consist of. Nobody takes care to ensure that those in the movement should be themselves honest. You need clean water to wash. If the water itself is dirty, what will this wash. The pity with these 'mass movements' is that these consist of self seeking opportunist and corrupt elements.
In this connection, I recall 'anuvrata' by Sarvodaya movement. This was aimed at self improvement and thus was more genuine.

True. Who cares for Mahatma Gandhi?. But I'm hopeful one day People will realize the worth of Gandhi and embrace his philosophy
