I know the resources there are less so most of the people from Bihar migrate to other states for job but I am not sure if they get some financial aid too that would really be spend on the development.

I heard his entire speech on TV- Nithish Kumar knows pretty well that Bihar cannot be given that status as the constitution does not allow it. This is with sole intention of making a election deal with ruling party and making his own claim for PM's post.

No state can provide employment to all its people. Migration of Biharis to other states is not a recently developed issue. It was there even in per-independence days. The difference was that there were no states. They were known as provinces and Presidencies. Nitish's argument sounds vague.
Delhi was full of Biharis until a couple of years before. now the number has gone down. To prove my point, there were about 100 thousand people from Bihar and most of them coming from Bihar itself otherwise there would be many more than this and not traveling from ihar. There were not enough jobs before in Bihar previously anf the land of Bihar was not cultivated properly due to lack of irrigation facilities. Bihar is no more backward state now.

90 % police force of W. Bengal especially in the constable ranks are still held by Biharis.

Resources are not less in Bihar but corruption is responsible for its underdevelopment.

Nitish has been good for Bihar and he has been trying his level best to bring Bihar back from where Lallu left it - down in the dumps. It is sad to think that a state like Bihar which has given so much of cultural values to the Indian society has been treated in this way by selfish and greedy politicians like Lallu. However, when we look at the country as a whole Bihar is still much more developed than many other states, so a need for special status may not be required. Nitish is probably making sure that his political position remains strong and firm since the elections are coming pretty soon...

It is not possible to employ all people in any particular region. There is no point in demanding resource.

The mineral resources and industries in united Bihar are now with Jharkhand state carved out of Bihar.

Yes Sir most of the industries and mines are now in Jharkhand which has made a big impact on Bihar.
I do appreciate the need for balance in national growth and prosperity but won't fully approve of Nitish Kumar stand. It has to be kept in mind that all the states of the Union of India are subject to the same dispensation if the pattern of development is skewed the leaders of the respective must do some soul-searching. Some states are backward for lack of good governance and it goes to the credit of Nitish Kumar that he has restored a semblance of order and sanity in the affairs of Bihar and he should continue focusing on that. His predecessors looted and ravaged Bihar!!
I would like to point few things in this regard. When a new train is started in Bihar, many people has willingly taken out the spare parts of the train. They did it for their personal use at home. Likewise, they are misusing government property and indirectly government fund. The question of development lies much behind after such happenings.

Hopefully it is difficult to guess whether they will be provided with good package for development or not.
