Despite so much noises, there is no end to incidents of gang rape and murder. A Swiss woman has been gang raped in M.P.

In Agra, a college girl has been brutally and sadistically killed by a psychopath.

I fear that we may be viewed as 'rape nation' and our tour and travel industry may also be adversely affected.

Nothing is going to change unless law enforcement takes it seriously and deal at faster speed. Most rapists take advantage of slow process and unwillingness to probe the cases properly.

Long long ago Sardar Patel said we are not prepared for democracy. Even this day also that visionary's thoughts are very much true
That's really sad thing to have such title.. I hope system will able to change such really bad thing.
Law should strictly be enforced against rape.If the law is not so strict enough, there is no end point to this.
As feared, such things are getting international. Swiss government has asked for speedy justice to their victim citizens. If more such incidents occur, other countries may issue advisory to their cirizens about possibility of rape and precautions.

What a pathetic state of affairs. A blotch on the face of India. I wonder how the law and order situation has gone out of control suddenly. Though these things were there earlier too. of late the frequency of these heinous crimes are on the increase

Who will enforce law strictly, agency who is responsible for it is not interested in it.
Either the rape connected crimes are being high lighted more now or some Indian men are becoming more and more frustrated and demented in their outlook. It is not only about the way they treat women, it has to do with a whole lot of other things as well, which is what is even more scary...one wonders how many such troubled and dangerous minds are out there?
This is reality actually we people are never have a fear of law may be we all know the ways to escape from it. We need to have some strict laws against rape otherwise the situation would never ever get improved.

The issue is that abiding by law and enforcing law- all these depend on us- citizens of nation. Everyone including those who rape, those who are raped and the law enforcement machinery- are citizens of this country. Unfortunately, the law breakers and criminals- are getting stronger and their community is increasing. Law is certainly not a remedy. We have to see how the law abiding and good citizens get more active and defeat or reform the criminal and undesirable elements

The case of Agra research student killed in lab is indeed very pathetic. Since yesterday, protests continue for arresting her killer. She was killed with surgical instruments. Her killer even drew her sketch before killing her. The way she was killed shows that the killer was expert in dissecting bodies.
There is another 'shame' for Agra. The latest incident is of Hotel owner attempting molestation and rape of a British woman in the guise of massage. The woman jumped from the balcony and fractured her foot.

These issues are turning out to be common. I dont know when are these issues going to end?

These will end when the good citizens assert themselves. In this case, the hotel owner as well as the hotel need be socially boycotted.
Continuous rape incidents in India is nothing but a symbol of unculture and illiteracy among Indians in the society.

Today's news paper carried 3 Rape cases in Andhra alone. I don't how many such rapes are occurring in the remote parts of this country, where news paper coverage cannot reach

Probably very huge in number. All these people should be punished so severe so that no other person dares to do this

How ? We are unable to draft an anti rape bill. And the present one which is going to placed tomorrow in Lok sabha is very much diluted one.
I hope that in coming days situation will be improved. Now courts are serious and active.

There is no issue with law. The law is already strict enough. all that matters is effective crime law enforcement system. As regards dilution or modification in proposed law, government has to ensure largest unanimity.

True. But we can never expect unanimity in such a parliament comprising of diverse political and personal interests. So, naturally, the laws will become dilute to appease all the parties.
