Some Hindu fanatic groups are protesting against paintings in an art gallery. The paintings are nude but art and not vulgar.

I wonder why these groups not protest against the nude art in Konark, ajanta, Elora and Khajuraho.

Our culture don't permit any sex pose or anything like that openly.
The erotic sculptures on the temples and the vulgarity in the movies are also our culture is it?
Thats true, I find such double standards quite ridiculous - on the one hand we are the most populous country in the world and on the other hand do things under hand. It is this attitude by the masses that gives rise to deviant behavior regarding sex...
there are so many social suppression s prevailing in society. we must erase it . too much hideous subject gives newtons third law effect. when a student is taught about reproduction in 6th standard, where is the problem in making it very explicit to avoid curiosity in youth. this will neutralize the lustful thirst.
There is difference in class room and public place. Nude body is not vulgar in a medical college. This is also okay in art and painting. There is need to differentiate on these lines. The visitors to art gallery have aesthetic sense which others may not possess.

True! Actually, our culture is the culture that gave Kamasutra to the world, entire world has now accepted it as the ultimate guide to sex and sexuality and the many pleasures of sex. Ours is probably the only country that contains hundreds of temples with carved statues and sculptures displaying various positions of this art, and yet ours is the country where even speaking about sex is considered as a big sin! Total hypocrites we Indians are. On the other hand, girls and boys are segregated at an early age and not allowed to mingle and play with each other resulting in an unhealthy curiosity about each others' bodies as they grow up, this curiosity is even more suppressed and THIS is what leads to children turning to pornography to satisfy their curiosity! Instead of talking about what should be done to prevent these things, it is better that sexuality is talked about a bit freely so that such deviant behavior is decreased.
