Verma panel report- some big miss

Verma panel report has suggested some reforms in law on rape and other gender issues. But this report is not so comprehensive as made out. The panel says nothing about legalizing sex work voluntarily opted by women.

Needless to say that not only the 'hon'ble women' but also sex workers need justice. There can be no gender justice in true sense till the sex workers are ignored or neglected.

Verma committee report cannot be implemented in one go. This is understandable. But Verma commitee report is also silent on sex workers' rights and legalization of the trade. There can be no gender equality till sex workers do not get justice. The intention of this thread is to stress on this aspect.
