The Chanakya Neeti is very ancient and is in accordance with Hindu scripture. some thoughts may be stale. This stresses too much on family ground and ignores the bride's own personality. Thus 'love marriage' is an alien concept.

I hope people are not taking Chanakys advice seriously, if they do there is bound to be disaster since it was written probably not suitable even to those times since woman according to him was nothing but a glorified maid...
