B) A Indian guy named "Anantharaman Subbaraman" arrived at the New york airport and ended up waiting for his visa for about 2 hrs for the authorities to call his name, he got fedup and went to them and asked why they havent called his name yet.

Apart from joke, this is indicative of selecting names that can be pronounced easily.

My niece' name is Livleen Sanre (Santhosh and Rekha ;) )
am sure, in future she will get the nick name Santro :woohoo: :woohoo:
hehehe..this happens with people its not that easy to pronounce typical south Indian names particularly. :blink:

This reminds me of the episode of veteran cricket player Subrahmanyam. A test match was going on in Australia and the the poor commentator had to turn his mouth and tongue in all possible angles to come out with the name

My friend used to pronounce famous Hollywood star Anthony Quin as "Antha Neeke na?"
it means in Telugu, "Is it all for you?"
