Happy republic day to all. Its great day to pay homage to the freedom fighters who fought for us and made our country independent. :)

Yes.. Happy Republic day to all Indians and Boddunan members.

Today is 64th Republic Day . Let celebrate this day and pay homage to all of our freedom fighters.

They toiled and lay down their lives to bring us freedom...... During those days there was no selfish agenda but one single purpose of attaining freedom for the country! Let us salute all the freedom fighters and hope our present day politicians emulate at least some of their qualities !

First of all, I wish everyone a Happy Republic Day.

India achieved independence from British rule on 15 August 1947 following the Indian independence movement noted for largely peaceful nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience led by the Indian independence revolutionaries.

In India, 'Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India on 26 January 1950.

Let us all resolve this day to abide by law and constitution, do our duty and protect human rights of all- men and women. Let us protect dignity of women.

My best wishes to all members with hopes of a very bright future for a true republic for our county. I also hope that we shall be celebrating next republic day with better conditions prevailing in our country.

The date of 26 January was chosen to honour the declaration of independence of 1930. It is one of the three national holidays in India. The main parade takes place in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India.

Republic day should be celebrated in unity . congratulation all Indians for this day.

Every year I see the Republic Day ceremony but this time I will miss it. Still today I am happy. I will enjoy it other way round. Happy Republic Day to all Boddunan friends.
