There are frequently protests on screening of certain movies by certain sections of society even though the Censor Board has cleared them. Is this not a sort of anarchy or lawlessness. What is the significance of Censor Board certificate in this scenario?

Its due to an overdose of secularism. Yes, its nothing short of anarchism.
The move for ban on the movie is cultural terrorism, which must go. Says Kamal Hassan. :

I think they do it intentionally to gain free publicity. They make it popular by way of making it controversial as I have yet to see a movie banned for ever.
Some Muslims movements asked to ban the film 'Vishvaroopam'. According to the source from Theatre owners, releasing of that film is banned for 2 weeks as of now.

We have too much of secularism. Its height of foolishness to yield to the foolish demands
:( Screening in theater is possible but how they stop it on internet.

Many movies have been banned in the past simply because politicians saw red at the way they were portrayed...But such things only generate more curiosity and interest and movies, even the mediocre ones go on to become hits..
Today the movie is released worldwide in Theatres. I have seen its ad in today's newspaper
That is possible when the producers might have agreed to cut some of the controversial shots.
Now there is another protest by Christian groups against screening of the movie Vishwaroopam. We do not know when which group will begin protest.

Now in Tamil Nadu, we have protest against the film 'Kadal' directed by Maniratnam. Besides, Hindu movement needs to watch the film 'Aadhi bagavan' before its release. I do onot know what is happening here. Directors and producers should think well before they get into any project.

It is no use thinking. There is no artistic freedom. whatever you make, some group may object. When censor Board okay a movie, any objections by various groups should not be given weightage.
