Changing job is certainly a risk one must assure certain things before quiting a job otherwise it may be a problem afterwards some times people do that when they get a lucrative offer and repent in few days.
If one is efficient and qualified for a new job there should be no need to be afraid of.

The one who is qualifies and efficient should know this basic fact. Isn't it?

But still people do mistakes in the basics as doing the basic thing is the toughest thing to follow. :)
A bird in hand is always better than two in bush, so one has to definitely think and be absolutely sure before giving up a job. I have had personal experience when I quit a paying job because of some personal commitments and later felt that I could have managed if I had analysed and planned better. I did get the job back but lost out on the benefits for a few years...
It takes a lot of self confidence and determination to quit jobs which is not possible for every one.
I agree with you Suni.. As that person need to search for another job, so without confident it can be worse condition.
You are right but I did mean a little different. I wanted to say if a person is competent he would never be afraid of leaving a job for better opportunity.
That's true.. but he should be confident enough.
But yes, I have seen many people leaving job for better pay and opportunity, and most of them have got the success too in it. So I guess after having experience confident level goes high automatically.
I left my job without ever trying for another one. I wanted to have fun, so I started my blog 'let's have some fun'

I agree with you Sunil. I left a very lucrative Job. Before resigning all my friends and well wishers repeatedly warned me for what they thought was i was committing a Harakiri.
I left with confidence
I not only proved my friends wrong, but also excelled the expectations of my new employers.
Confidence creates miracles.
