You have posted a valuable and much needed thread for the society. Almost all the parents try to give their children a luxurious life. They are working for long hours everyday for that. They are not ready to spend their precious time with kids. Kids expect time to be sent with them, not money or things.

I always try that I devote a healthy time with my kids and teach them something good that may help them in future. :)

This way they actually think that they have made their kid calm but they don't think that actually they are spoiling their kids for temporarily making him/her calm.

very apt. Many parents believe that just spending on their children suffices. A child needs more parents' time than anything else.

Very true, when they are young children may get impressed when parents buy gifts for them and spend money lavishly but as they grow their needs change and they need understanding and shared time form their parents and although money is important, it has its limitations...

I do not have children :lol: .
I have spent less time with parents, due to my stay at the boarding school, but I have stayed with them when I was a child. :)

Our children we should spend our time firstly and money is secondly.Because the spending time take them to very close to us and money is helpful to in making their future.

I feel that quality time does matter,children may be staying with their parents , all through their growing years without much interaction , i which case a child staying in a hostel bt getting to spend quality time with the parents while on holiday would be much more beneficial in building bonds..

I feel the present generation of parents should know this quote as happy childhood is the most expensive gift that any parent can provide to their children. Happiness not always comes with money though sometimes we need it.
