The TV anchors need to facilitate information and views and also reflect public sentiments. But they have limitation. They must recognize this and not go beyond their scope. It is none of their function to declare war against another country or create hysteria. If they do so, they will be doing disservice to nation.

Yes. Absolutely agreed. Most of the TV anchors take over advantage most of the times. They take everything for granted. I dont know who gave this right to them.

I agree with that, at times they tend to go overboard with their enthusiasm and trying to be open ...It is not easy for others to draw the line but they should know what can be announced and made public and what would create a euphoria which would have negative effects on the nation and also on the general public mood ...

Perhaps this is the reason why politicians often say, "Media distorted my version."

I do agree! Some of them display very little professionalism in their jobs and have preconceived ideas about the topics thrown open for discussion.
B) It is all for TPR. Viewers know reality of new channels.

It seems to have almost all the times when the issue backfires on them! Media becomes the culprit then and even though there is footage of what was said, the politicians say that it is out of context and some part has been cut or distorted...
I have seen few anchors behave very childish. The problem is they think that they are child like. Actually they have childish behaviour.
They do no behave childlike but they behave as they are know alls. The overconfidence thinking that they are above all others due to their status of media persons. Overconfidence is always harmful for anyone in any field of profession..
While interviewing celebrities, TV anchor actively raise questions which are considered highly personal affairs. I think this should never be entertained.
But very often I have seen politicians drinking water when asked questions about corruptions and allegations :woohoo: :woohoo:
let them fear media a little bit...... :cheer: :cheer: B)
but it's not the case of normal man

You are making me remeber the scene from 'Mudhalvan' (Director Shankar). In that movie, Chief Minister (Raghuvaran) drinks water when reporter (Arjun) fires questions at him about corruption, law and order etc.
The pleasure of watching and listening to a meaningful discussion primarily rests on an anchor's ability to be less preachy and to allow all the participants to dissect the subject in a manner that audience or viewers get the whole picture.
Well said Chinmoy. In most of the programmes (Interviews, debates etc. anchors speak a lot sharing their views than that of guests or interveiwee or participants. I wonder why these people do like this. I want to know how many anchors know about journalism.

Yes very true, some of the prominent ones try putting words into the subjects mouths and cut them off when they try to say something of their own...I wonder if they are on some politician or political party's pay role?
