Increase in points for Answers

Hi All,

We would like to inform you that the points for answering and getting answer selected as best answer, are increased to 5 and 20 respectively. This change is valid for a limited time only. Asking, voting points have no change.

Wow, this is a great opportunity and I hope this will kick some life in the Q&A section. Just for information, how much is the limited time?

Also, I want to know about a few polls I had submitted, more than a month ago, when will they be approved and published?

polls are approved. We will review the response after a month and decide how much more time we can extend or end it after that.

I agree with you SJ.. It should be increase so that people also go for starting questions like you, and it will increase chance for answering more of them.

But that is in your hand as you always can scan questions and can delete those silly questions. :)

Thanks Mevrick.. And I have just started to use all other feature of this site and will try to be more active. About increased point, check it if you found it not well, then of course you can roll back it.

It is good opinion and will increase the standards in Q&A section too. But what I observed is most of the questions are repeated.. they are either asked in forums.
