I like this quote much. But not the picture. Even though you can get any information on net, The pleasure the books give is unimaginable.

Nice quote,no matter what future inventions we have , books will always have special place for those who love reading.I for one never like to read e books nor from a kindle unless there is no other go like while traveling..
Even I do not like the picture, maybe because we never put our feet on books as they are considered respectful. The quote though has a deeper meaning than what is shown in the picture.

I liked he concept and the visual. Stepping over the books indicate to what extent BOOKS can be handy to reach out the heights. Now think, how many floppies you need to reach out the same height as a book can take you up.Because of this visual i posted this thread. A brilliant matching of copy and the visual

Yeah I did get the meaning and that was just a first thought after the look at the picture and nothing else. The image and the text have a meaning.

Even i too don't like the picture. Book is the medium through which we get knowledge and wisdom. I wont disrespect the books by touching it through my feet. May be i have grown with this sentiment.

But I appreciate the creativity and concept of the designer. In my view its just like stepping in a ladder to reach our heights.

Thats true, it is the cultural difference ....In india books and knowledge are considered to be sacred even if we are one of the least literate nations in the world, but in the western world people look at things in a practical manner...

Exactly ! we cannot get squeamish about things like that...there are so many such beliefs in India some of which are totally blind and have no rhyme or reason...
Reading books and newspaper have another charming. Online reading may fulfill the requirements but can not satisfy.
Books are the personal copies which can be kept secret and they are not for all. Computers are machines. Once they are out of command, it can disclose all data or destroy all data itself.
