am really angry......everyday, such news are appearing in newspapers. everyday we are talking about security of girls and women at public and working places. But are they safe at their homes?

It is a nice and much needed thread at present. Security of girls is a big question mark. I have already started a thread ' martial arts need to be taught in schools. Most of us expressed that it is good for girls security.

This is a serious matter. who will arrange martial arts. when the guardians and family are inimical, who is there to support. Such news is very disgusting. This gives a feeling that the world is not worth living.

It is not only happening in Kerala but every part of our country. Illiteracy is the main cause behind it. Only books education is not enough but moral education and social education are also important to stop this.

parents are everything to kids.
when kids are born, the real responsibilities of parents have also born. kids believe their parents most more than anything.....then how can they do such things to their kids?
a few years back, I was deeply hurt reading a news in newspaper.
a son who was around 30 raped his own mother. It happened in Kerala. Court punished him with 7 years. but can any punishment in this world wash away that sin?
a few days back, I read a magazine about present kids and mobile technology...
a boy below 12 was caught for trying to take mobile photos while his mother was changing clothes....

Girls are safe and will be safe. All depends on the girl. My 2 girls left their homes at an early age for states. Now they are leading blissful married lives in an altogether a different country sans fear and worries.

Girls are safe and will be safe. All depends on the girl. My 2 girls left their homes at an early age for states. Now they are leading blissful married lives in an altogether a different country sans fear and worries.

Girls are generally safe in families. But there are exceptions and these are highlighted by media and scare people.

Now no one are safe any where. It just depends on our alertness. though we be at home and all doors are closed but also we should be alert.

We just need to be away from wrong people. We should also know the wrong people around us.

Well, girls are always taught to keep quiet on these issues just because it is their own family (question of prestige)

Why not men be taught to not rape a woman? why martial arts for women? why not moral studies for men?

All girl children need to be taught how to keep away and protect from the persons who cause inconveniences or troubles to them.

TV serials are more entertaining and less educative. Vast masses do their business as usual and are not affected what goes on in media, TV or internet.
