yes it is true
I generally dont listen to Hindi songs, when i do , i just not my head
When there is a tiff between my fiance and me, i tend to understand the lyrics more. for instance after a fight, the bus carrying me home was the song "humko sirf tumse pyar hai" reminding me that fights are just a way of life, part in a relationship

I completely agree on this (100%). I am telling this because I have experienced. When we are sad, It is human tendency to listen to the lyrics carefully.
yes Robert.
actually we will be attached to philosophical songs most as if we are learning life for the first time :)
When we are sad and alone, we start deep thinking. We do self analysis at that time. Almost we become great philosopher, but won't express those philosophies.

Sadness makes you see the things in the real perspective. Everything looks hazy and there lurks a feeling of uncertainty.
I believe that the serious people go through the lyrics. They try to understand the meaning of the songs and the situation they were sung. Sings have different expressions. Such can be understood by the people who understand the lyrics. Hence generally the youngsters or the children prefer he music and dance on the music. They don't bother about the meaning of the songs.

Lyric is everything for me. There are many songs which drawn me towards them for their lyrics only. The strange lyrics of 'Dayya re Dayya " or "EEreera rarka, Maka ka naaka, worli ka naaka, Duniya Dhamaka, Kadam kadam pe chodo ek pataka"

Sandhya, I am happy to hear that you listened to lyrics even in your teen ages. Most of the teen agers will not listen to the lyrics now. They enjoy the music alone.
