Oh that is My guess is right, he is from Goa.
No film from bollywood and tolly wood got selected for this IFFI, as they need the moral movies which shows the human values.
If they need movies with moral/human values, then they have to go for short movies. Besides, Marati and Bengali movies have this kind of values. But those are not commercial ones. We badge those films as documentray.
Earlier they used to show some really good films from all over the world in such film festivals but now I guess it is mostly the ones that are popular esp the Indian films..Last year there was a complaint that very few regional films were shown, may be there is some valid reason for doing this, however, the selection process is lop sided..

I am not able to understand why this Film Festival is organized?
Film festival is an occasion to screen the most popular or interesting films of the year. This is like other fairs. The film festivals are being generally organized in Goa.
I feel its an education to both the people and the personnel involved . It gives an opportunity to see new ways and new trends in movie making.

Budget is not the criteria for exhibition. Quality standards only count.
