Who don't love to see water in motion and its deafening roars? Here are some images of travel photo challenge that is truly mesmerizing as well as worth seeing. After viewing the images all the poets/poetesses in Boddunan don't stop you poetic follow.. just add some lines to this post. :)

Usha you have posted that this picture is from rajni state, Do you mean it from rajasthan or some other place

No no sarala it is from my state Karnataka and this place is in Shimoga - it is Sharavati river which , is called the Jog Falls - is the second highest fall in India.It falls from a height of more than 800 meters...

It is a very beautiful part of the state being in the midst of malnad or hilly regions where there is lush greenery and an abundance of nature all round.The drive to the place itself is amazing ..the only thing to watch out for is the leeches which are in plenty during rainy season...
I saw a fall at Shillong.It was very beautiful fall.It is called the Elephant fall.

Elephant falls in Shillong looks awesome. I often admire at Nature's beauty. I would like to call this waterfaslls as ' Silver falls' or 'Milk Falls'.
Wow wonderful waterfalls. I feel like going there and watch. Let us see do i have such chance to go there.


I see most of the waterfalls in Kerela.whcih is far away from Delhi. Nearest to Delhi is I think in Dehradoon someone please tell which is the nearest waterfall to Delhi. :)


I think Manali is one such place having waterfalls and river streams.. It may take 9 hours to travel from Delhi... Yes Dehradun is good place to go and is also near to Delhi

Yes it is amazing waterfall indeed. Looks like some painting. I think nature offers many things in beautiful form but we ruin it with our stupidity.

Water is lifeline of this world and God has kept it in motion to reach to every one in easy way. That was amazing,.

SJ.. I have seen few waterfall at Mount abu , but they are not popular at all.

I have seen one famous water fall at masuri (i guess).. But it wasn't that good. I guess it name is kempty waterfall.

Yes I heard of Kempty waterfall which is near to my place I would definitely plan to see it in future. :)

Kempty falls is in Mussorie a few KM away, I had been there more than 50 times during my posting at Dehradun.

As most of the waterfalls are in south India its Dehradoon which is near to Delhi than any other place where waterfall is there. :)

In that case I wonder why SJ you haven't visited that fall yet.

@Sunil.. More than 50 times, wow... So far only visited single time.
