For every month of the year. except June and July, there is an elephant festival held in the different temples of Kerala. Each festival starts with a slow march of the caprisoned elephants to the accompaniment of a traditional band called 'Panchavadyam' with the five traditional instruments of cymbals, woodwinds , two types of drums and trumpets.

Ok Sandhya. At present I am bit busy. But I will read those articles by 9 pm today.
Elephants are part of life of Kerala, Assam and some regions of Karnataka. Some people even worship elephants and treat them auspiciously. We have a few elephants in out parts of the country but most of them used by Babas.
Do you remember...somedays before we discussed the price of a male elephant in forum?
Yes live elephant's price is Rs 1,00,000 and as they say dead elephant costs 1,25,000 for the purpose of his bones.
So funny...
If so I will give you 1 lakh...buy a male elephant for me
Yes, Sandhya I remember that thread and I know about this elephant festival. I have seen in 2 movies. But Telugu movies. Murari and Na auto graph. These are very interesting movies. but I dont know that elephant festival celebrates every month

Have you heard a famous saying that says " Zinda haathi lakh ka to mara haathi sawa laakh ka" That means a dead one is costlier than a live elephant, why don't you find a dead one to take full advantage. Don't you remember Verappan who lived in forests selling Sandal and elephant bones.
Not elephant bones..elephant tusks....hihi

Sunil, when this proverb was developed, value of money was very high. Due to inflation, that 1 lakh has now become 60-70 lakhs.
That day, kalyani has agreed to start a circus company and we people shall assist her. What do you say?
