Sitting can kill you , I mean too much sitting can kill you .
Human beings were always on their feet in the early years busy with some work or the other until the modern ages,Desk jobs, advent of TV and the Computers ! Ans now we are sitting more than ever in the history of mankind - on an average about 9 hours a day !!!
Sitting increases risk of death by upto 40%
Sitting also makes you fat and obese - fat people sit an average 2-3 hours longer than those who are fit !
Finally, sitting expends almost no Energy !

Spending more time by sitting at one place is not at all good. as it may lead to many health problems. A person who spend more time by sitting should have little exercise like moving here and there or walking for few minutes.

Sitting is not good for health.We all must have exercise or go for walk everyday.it will help to make our muscles strong and keep us fit...


According to many health experts what is really bad for health is sitting in a wrong position without having proper support for the back and for too many hours at a stretch...However, it has been told that sitting cross legged on the floor for a short period of time each day is good for the legs and for the flexibility of the joints..
While sitting we should be in a resting position then only there will be no problem, but sitting in this manner for more hours then also it may create problem to our health.
You are right, one should find the time for some exercise daily. It is a lifesaver! many people don't realize that. Sitting all the time is a primary cause of obesity and exercise is important. It can add years to your life.
For any health problem, now a days exercise is the best medicine.
Actually people who are addicted to drugs or alcohol must sit and sleep on soft bed or sofa. Other than that, those who live normal and healthy life must sit or sleep on hard, tough chairs or bed.
It is because of a changed life style that we have to lay stress on exercise because if we see olden times, people's lives revolved around physical work and they kept themselves busy with work all day long, they ate well, worked well and remained healthy right until the last years...Now the life expectancy has gone up which is because of improved health care but general quality of life has come down ...

Exercises are what keeps us healthy and also the fact that we are given functional and movable joints as opposed to other animals, we are required to keep them moving and not just sit idle for hours without doing anything!

Yes that's very true, but just look at our lifestyles now and we can see where this would lead us in months to come. I see many youngsters looking very obese especially in the hips because of this since their hips spread out more when they sit in front of the TV and computers for long period of time..
