I have not seen it so I cant comment on the film, but apparently there were many better regional films that could have been nominated. By the way has it already been nominated or i it still at the entry stage ? Many of our films never go past the entry stage..

I have seen those threads but my intention in starting this one is from a very different angle, as you can see I have started this under Humor and Jokes and the purpose is to invite similar jokes or discussion on husband-wife relationship!! Not talking about the movie really!!

There are funny incidents related to unmatched couples. Husband was very tall and his wife dwarf. Even children would cut joke on them by nicknaming them as 'Gilli danda'. (a game in which a small wodden piece (gilli) is played with big stick (dandfa).

I too have not seen the movie but going by the trailers, I also feel that there are much better films than that in other regional languages that could have been nominated! But the fact is that money does play a role here and Hindi films are high budget than any other regional films. At least that is what I understand!

I too have not seen the movie but going by the trailers, I also feel that there are much better films than that in other regional languages that could have been nominated! but the most sad thing is that even a single Indian movie nominated, was not able to win an Oscar, till now :huh: :huh:
Mother India lost by just 1 vote, so sad :dry:

The Acting of Ranbir Kapoor and the story are the two reason why Barfi is nominated for the Oscar. I find this movie very interesting and the center of attraction to my eyes was RANBIR KAPOOR.
