Thank you all for your great participation on BBL-1. Now its time for BBL-2.
This time the concept is Health and the specific topics of contest are
"Nutrition, Aging and Longevity"
Respective categories are created on the articles categories.
Reward: 1000 Cash Credits
with additional 500 cash credits for exceptional performance, if any, as decided by the administrator.
Now coming to the rules:
1. Minimum 500 cash credits earned through article writing before the start of contest period. Removing other restrictions so that more users can participate.
2. Time period considered for articles submission - Oct 12, 2012 - Oct 31, 2012, cut-off date to apply for reward - 2 Nov, 2012
3. Minimum 10 articles on the above subjects with
a. minimum 30 cash credits for at least 7 articles
b. minimum 50 cash credits for at least 3 articles
4. No grammatical mistakes should present
5. Copycats are not allowed - even have a history of single copied article in last 3 months.
6. Articles should be well formatted. You can use images, but not too many. Usually maximum 3-5 images sufficient for any article with some exceptions. No copy-protected images allowed. If found, article will be unpublished immediately and you will no longer eligible for the contest.
7. Each article should concentrates on a specific topic/sub-topic with maximum coverage.

Yes, Boddunan League will prompt many lazy writers to write again for Boddunan. Though there are 10k members, only a few are there who have contributed articles with 500 rs to the site. May this move prompt more writers to come forward, so that they can participate in the contest
ya I am a lazy writer but trying to write some more.
I wish I could participate but I managed the 500 cash credits through article submission today only. :huh: Hope I will be eligible for the next episode. B)

everyone is copycat. Only you need to change the copied material. This is what is called: Making handkerchief of dhoti. If you spoil something, you are original. Spoil work of Shakespeare and that will be your original.
I was so amazed to read a quote from Picasso somewhere- 'Small timers steal while the big ones get inspiration' and now you can add that professionals do the same and known better as "researchers". Copycat is the one who simply copy pastes, there are only 26 letters in English language. I find this a good inspiration for an article later.
Truth is that we get inspired from everything around us. We just make it our own instead of immitating :cheer:

So far any scientist has discovered nothing new. Whatever they discovered was already there but not known. The law of gravitation was applicable even before Newton. The relative density was there even before Archimedes. Scientists only discovered the law of nature, that already existed but not known. Engineers made designs of products like engines on basis of discovered facts of nature.
We learn anything either from others or from nature/ surroundings. We neither make nor discover anything new. Originality is only of applying mind. .
Many members are here who are not able to participate due to the rule, "even have a history of single copied article in last 3 months." But if those members, later corrected that article and submitted, got approved too, can they participate in the contest?

But still there are many people out there who can participate in the contest. I feel its great and admin should also think of some other contests too that will inspire people to contribute more for the site. :)

I think the members caught and rejected for copy pasting know it better and the administrator of the site knows it best, therefore why discuss this issue here, which is neither known to us nor our concern. Let admin decide who qualifies and who does not.
Yes, yet I feel, that 'copy caught' rule may be taken off at least for this contest as I see many new users here with 500 cash credits, but couldn't participate in the contest. Such rules can be made strict from next contest onwards if admin feel so. :huh: :huh: . It's my opinion only.
Last month when I restarted writing here, editor team was not selected yet and our site was undergoing many changes. Admin was editing our articles giving remarks.
One day, when I clicked member names on leader board, I could see those links leading to member's details including submitted articles. Even non-reviewed articles were there. Surprisingly, admin's comments on each article while placing cursor on green/red icon was visible. (Now it's not possible to see reviews on editors if it's not ours). Even commends of rejected articles were visible.
I just checked all the 10 members' latest articles and find that a few rejected articles were there with admin's comment, "Rejected. Copied content". One or two articles got rejected with commend, "Remove copyright picture".
So, like episode 1, only a few contestants will be able to participate this time also. So, I request admin to recheck those rules with some restrictions removed to encourage new writers as well. Thank you. :)
