AC or Cool breeze

When we return back after an outing, I open the car windows to get fresh and cool air when we are out of main town boundary. It's true, though ac keeps us cool and free from pollution, I feel, it can't compete with the cool fresh breeze offered by trees and plants around. Now, in concrete buildings, when everyone prefers ac to rid away heat no one denies the fact that coolness provided by ac can't overtake fresh air while sitting near a car window or nature's pattings in open terrace at night. Am I right?

At present, the climate is too cool in Tamilnadu. So no one will prefer air conditioner up to January 2013. Experiencing very cool breeze. Some times cyclones too.

Yes rob, also this is the correct time to buy AC since the rates will be somewhat lesser than the summer.

Arun. Could you please refer which brand is better (average price with good quality)? Is it 1 ton sufficent for the room with the dimension 10" X 10" or we need to go for 1.5 ton?

I think its sufficient for your room. Also please check the below specifications.

For 300 sq ft room = Use 1 ton ac (12,000 BTU)
For 300-500 sq ft = Use 1.5 ton ac (18,000 BTU)
For 500-800 st ft = Use 2 ton ac (24,000 BTU)

BTU - British thermal unit

Sufficient information provided. I don't think even Air Conditioning professionals can provide this much details. All the figures give detailed information. I can call you 'encyclopedia'.

Not like that robert. The credit always goes to Google. I will try to research before answering and like to be specific.

It shows you are humble. Anyway, finding information through web research is also a skill. Keep Rocking Man!
Hmm. I guess in City and pollution area AC is good, but otherwise no one can compete with natural air..

I know one person who used to keep on AC during journey even in Hill station area.. :D

I think that person is having good immune system. Is he/she Indian or from overseas? Cool breeze gives me comfort.

He is Indian, but I guess he should have been in some other cold area. Every time he goes for car journey he used to keep on AC, even in cold area. Personally even I enjoy natural cold breeze.

Much appreciations to you on posting quick reply. According to me, Nothing can give the comfort which is given by cold breeze.
Thanks Robert.. Same thing goes for you..

Yes I like that kind of weather , that's why mostly I spent all of my holidays at some hill station.

Could you please let me know that some hill stations. Are you from north India? it is difficult for me to find holidays.
Well, I am from Gujarat.. So mostly used to visit Mount Abu, Saputara and other places around them.. Both are good.
Now we are at the Christmas Month (December) which is the peak of winter. Hence we do not require air conditioners this month. :P :P :P :P :P
But I still love to visit those hill stations in winter... Something different. :P

Last time I visited Abu in minus two degree temp.
Now this topic needs locking up as there appears nothing more to discuss. Moreover winter has set in and what we get is shivering cold wave and not breeze.
