Are adult sites legal?

Adult sites should be banned.It is damaging the brain of the young stars.They are much addicted to watch it.

Banning is not a solution, to prevent children from watching such sites, there should be parental control. There are a number of good softwares containing firewall programmes that prevent children from accessing such sites. Every household with teenagers should install them on their computers!

This only can't prevent everything. Now everything is available through pen drives and mobile. :evil:
It can really affect a teenager a lot.

Which is why I also used the words 'parental control' Parents should make it their business to determine what their children are walking and discuss the darker aspects of this issue with them freely. Also the reason why sex education is much needed!

I find that no member has answered the issue in the thread. The issue is not about desirability of porn or adult sites. This is about legality of such sites in India.

The position is very peculiar. There is nothing unlawful in possessing and viewing adult sites. So, you may lawfully view such sites at home.

as far as my knowledge, porn sites are not legalised in India. I think they are not available :whistle:

Whatever is available on internet and not blocked is legal, now if some one declares his/her age as eligible to enter those sites, the moral duty of such sites is no more in question. This is the viewer who has to decide about what is good or bad for him.

Exactly! and who better than the parents to teach them all about self control. But it has been noticed that the parents themselves are unwilling to talk about such issues, sex is still a taboo for majority! The father himself must be watching such sites in secret so he is unwilling to talk or uncomfortable talking to his son about it!

Adult content is now allowed in this site. The legal issue about adult sites has been well discussed and understood. This suffices. If we continue, some adult content may enter here also. So, better to lock.
