Discipline is necessary in our life.If we are well disciplined we can achieve what we want and others will like us.In school also we are taught to maintain discipline. In our home our parents teach us discipline.
discipline is the way we conduct ourselves. Unless we observe regularity, punctuality and adherence to other principles necessary for pursuit of our goals, we cannot succeed. Indeed this means that we have to function in a discipline manner as against careless and haphazard way.
It is very true. Without discipline one cannot achieve anything in life on time. I agree with the above post.

Absolutely true ! Discipline and commitment is most essential in life and is one of stepping stones to success .One has to have motivations ,set goals and accomplish them .People who go through life in a state of stagnation become non performers .In Most such cases we can see a lack of self disciplines ..

Discipline is necessary in life.To maintain a smooth life one must be well disciplined.
Discipline helps us chart our course of actions in a organized manner with which to reach our goals. Too often, we see people who have quite feasible and realistic goals but because of lack of discipline in themselves, they often fail to accomplish them!
discipline should exists inside everyone.Well disciplined person is liked by everyone.

Without discipline and commitment we can't attain success in anything.
Though we set our goals, only disciplined effort can give you success.

Very true ! Dreaming about goals doesnt get you anywhere .When people talk about what they want to achieve without putting it into action you can be sure that they are not going to get any further. To achieve anything one has to strive so hard and inspite of it sometimes you may not get the anticipated results...
As all of you have very rightly emphasized the importance of it in our life but our rulers since Independence have been trying their worst to banish it from our national life!
Let us first teach our leaders how to become well disciplined citizens. Then only we people will respect and follow them!!!!
It's due to their undisciplined behaviour, they never get appreciations from normal people
Discipline is the most important thing to achieve any goals. When we are in discipline many will help us to reach our goals.

That's true! There are hardly any statesmen left like Sardar Patel, Lokmanya Tilak, Morarji Desai etc. who were so disciplined! But why be pessimistic when we have so many other disciplined role models like Ratan Tata, Narayana Murthy, ex-President Abdul Kalam etc. They embody everything that is needed in order to become a responsible citizen. We can always look up to them and learn from them!

Discipline, Determination and Dedication are the main pillars of success. I think success without discipline is not a worthy one.

Undisciplined life is a rudderless boat. It takes you anywhere except your destination.

But in a vast country like India, the number of torch bearers and pathfinders are far far less. In the same breath i would ask why we are far behind those small countries like Ethiopia in winning gold medals in Olympics?
