oh nowadays it is very rare using of shikakai. It is nice to know you are using sikakai. :) :)
Presently we get lots of variety of shampoos for fashion. I don't think it is easy to avoid it.
I use shampoo only on weekends. Usually, i try to put oil and then shampoo my hair.
Now a days it is very tough to avoid shampoo. There are variety of shampoo available in market. We can select according to our requirement.
I think herbal shampoo can be used for healthy hairs. :)

Just crush its leaves using a stone...avoid mixer.....apply on hair while bathing, mixing it with a little water, rinse it well and clean your hair. It's a best shampoo. In my childhood days, i frequently used it. But nowadays, no....
It's very difficult to rinse it off from hair. That's the main problem, due to its waxy nature. Also tiny pieces of leaves may stick to your hair.
@Jabeen...

Hibiscus flower has another use in our state. Place it in between ears, if you are mad....ha ha
Just kidding!!!!!
These days, we use only ready made producta from market. all that we see is that the product is ISI marked and of a reputed company. The ingredients used may include shikakai or anything suggested.

Just follow for one or two months then once again use shampoo. What to do ? No other option.It is really tough to stick with it.
Use of ritha instead of shampoo is good for hair.
