This is exactly what the people do in Roja and women in Karwa Chauth.
fasting for whole day is not good for health as doctors say ,empty stomack is not right. We should eat something atleast in a gap.

We cannot eat anything while fasting. We can eat after completing our fast.

Even just before beginning a fast. Before and after but not in between.

According to me this is the best way. Otherwise people often faint and fast remains incomplete.
Fasting is good for health and our system since it gives it the much needed rest. One can do it in a planned manner by eating only fruits and sa;lads and drinking soups and fluids so that there are no negative effects. It is also a good for those who want to lose weight.Fasting once a week is not at all difficult...
Routine periodic fasting is good for our health, doctors proved that. So try to do fasting in a regular routines. :) :) :)

There is no need of eating while fasting for detoxifying our body. We have a camp going on in our area where thousands of people sit on a nine days' fast in a camp where there is no kitchen. they live on water and honey twice a day for the entire duration of nine days and come out almost with clean and toxin free system.

It is of course never a good idea to completely go off food and fast, it is bad for the system ...during ramzan they eat 2 or 3 meals after sunset to sun down so it is actually fasting during the day only...Hindus too fast during religious occasions, norammly by taking only liquids ,juices or water..
Sharing nice information of fasting food.

We must avoid spicy food.
I have heard that if we fast, we could remain away from fever. IS it correct.

Fast could help in digestive problems. Fever is not related to digestive system and hence fasting cannot help avoiding fever.

Fasting is like giving a break for a day that works non-stop all the remaining days of the week. This makes the system more rejuvenated and the immune system gets itself ready for another round of hectic activity.
During fast one should not eat or drink anything. But after breaking fast they eat or drink. But many feel weak while fasting.Just to keep fit and healthy one must eat healthy food after fasting.
