Honestly one wonders in which direction we are moving ? backwards or forwards.This is exactly like what is happening in Swat valley in Pakistan where women are killed by the Taliban for any and every reason - Ever hear of a man being punished for adultery ? either way it is the fault of the woman :dry: :unsure:

In this case man was also tied to tree and beaten. The police interfered and some action is being taken.

That is some consolation, and police dont do anything much because they all have the same mind set ...In a matter of a month or so everything will be forgotten and the people responsible for such brutality will be walking round looking out for new victims..

There is another aspect to stripping of a woman. A woman is 'dishonored' if stripped. But a man is not dishonored even if stripped. A man may appear even in a Langoti (an underwear that covers only genitals in front but the backside is totally nude). So what if a man is stripped of his shirt and vests. A man is not 'dishonored' even if his all clothes are removed. He is not 'dishonored' even if he is molested or even 'raped'. All notion of 'honor',
chastity' and 'dignity' are reserved for women only. Unless you end this double standard, women cannot be emancipated.
