Finally, India has won the first ODI by 21 runs. In last over, Mallinga played some very good shots and made 16 runs, but it was too late and not sufficient.

It was a team effort. Yadav, Pathan and Ashwing took 2 wickets each while Zaheer khan took 1.

At the batting end, Kohli made a century 108 , Sehvag and Raina half centuries (96 and 50 respectively). Dhoni made 35 runs.

We need same kind of team effort in forthcoming matches also. :) :)

I thought India would loss as they were not in touch and Srilanka recently played with pak.But India played well and won the first game.

India had won the match by 21 runs. If we can clean sweep all the matches we will reach to top 1 position in the world rankings.
