It is often sermonized that drinking is injurious to health. But this could be true about drunkenness. Mile drinking gives better sleep, makes heart healthier and less possibility of kidney stones.

Yes.. It is true but only if we take it limited..

I don't drink, but I have heard that people can't control after having habit.. So it can be bad.
Mild drinking!! :dry: once you start, do you know when and where to stop!! Later people become addicted to drinking.
Yes better keep away.. Because it can be addiction in to time. It is not a simple thing that we can manage it in proper quantity.
For better sleep, heart and kidney stones, we have many other cheaper and herbal ways... So why to throw yourself in the pool of fire....FirePool!! :dry: :dry:
drinking can be of different types.Doctors have suggested that drinking up to a pint of beer a day is good for the health and can reduce the risk of diabetes and high blood.but drinking fruit juice is very good for health.we drink tea which helps us to get energy.

In fact even doctors advise that a mug of beer or 2 glasses of red wine is good for those with heart problem and high Blood pressure...Getting drunk is something else, happens when an individual is not able to keep tabs on himself/herself...

There are people I have seen who just drink the wine as medicine for yrs together but never got addicted. It all depends on us, how the will power is.If the will power is good then we wont get addicted to alcohol at all.

Drunkenness arises from desperation and inactive life. An individual who has a busy career, is ambitious and responsible will never exceed the limit anywhere. He knows that he has to attend his job or business next day. Here I may give example of illustrious author of repute, Khushwant Singh. He drinks even in his nineties.

It is irresponsible and good for nothing fellows or those unsuccessful in career or love, who turn to alcoholic drink in Dev Das fashion. actually such people are only noticed by the non drinkers or teetotaler.

I think every body is talking about Beer.
As a precaution to avoid over drinking or drunkenness, I think that social drinking is preferable to individual drinking. There should be strict schedule for lunch and dinner. One must take drink only before dinner and not after. He must finish drink before the scheduled time for dinner. There must be no drink after dinner. I feel this much of discipline suffices for healthy drinking.
