Green activities...

I have some flower plants in my house. I have also planted a tree outside.

We do this every year during monsoons , in fact we will be doing it this year in the first week of August.It is called Vana Mahotsava and celebrated all over Karnataka.A group of us ladies prepare plant saplings at home from whatever available plants we have - this year I have got 35 saplings so far, may add on a few more .We distribute them at offices ,shops ,schools and nursing homes for a nominal amount of Rs 10/ each just to cover part of the transportation and other expenses .People give happily , in fact they ask for more plants...

Wow great!!! That's good initiative @usha and @gulshan...I hope together we have to make our planet green....One two people in Boddunan???

During my college days I use to take part in tree plantations program regularly. But I have not planted any trees in recent years, though I do water the trees and plants that my mother grow. Nowadays, my eco-friendly practices are limited to conservation of energy and reducing the use of polythenes. I practice them myself and encourage others to also do the same.

I do this type of activities in my home.I plant various type of flower and many fruit tree in my garden.........

I just know about Dalai Lama from all these celebrities that he takes care about his house garden very much.

I have a small garden in my balcony and I collect a lot of seeds all the time and a few times during the year, we take our son out walking in the hills close to my colony where we plant those seeds.

Do you all know that Atul Kulkarni, the actor famous for his roles in Page 3 and Chandani Bar, has bought several acres of land at Satara, a town near Pune and he is now restoring its natural diversity by planting hundreds of indigenous trees? He is indeed an example in the green revolution!

We oftentimes planting trees in school-life at tree plantations program. I also planting trees in my balcony. I have rose plant,Aloe-vera plant and many more.
But, I must planting at least one tree at my birthday. I satisfied with this.

Actually i was born on 5th June and on that day, Environment Day is Celebrated. So, when i was small, may be 10th standard, i saw a dream of having one farm where lots of organic vegetable are grown. When i will start earning big :laugh: , i wanted to buy a land when these vegetables are grown.

Its a dream, don't know when it will fullfilled. :)

Good initiative. Me too like to plant trees but where to plant. I am satisfying by planting some flower plant at my balcony.

In my town where residential area is there, there i don't find much pollution and various big trees are there. So, the air looks pure, when you go outside in balcony or at the roof of the House.

In the city of my town, there are residential places, where lots of pollution is there as the market is also near. There the people do complaint about polution.

We always like to have a Clean Surrounding and in such places only we should live.
