It's no doubt......singing breathless is really a great talent.....and how can we forget Shankar Mahadevan's breathless performance. Isn't it?
Why can't we today discuss about such breath taking performances? Actually, I always wonder how are they able to do so :dry: :blink: :blink: . Do you people have any idea?
Also, let me give you links of two such breathless songs of year 1991.......one sung by Yesudas for the movie 'Bharatham' and the other by S.P.Bala Subramaniyan for 'Keladi Kanmai'(Just listen dear one (female)). It's quite co-incidental that both these films are released same year and till now, both are considered to be the best breathless performances of both the languages respectively. It's also the same reason why S.P. lost National Award to Yesudas the same year, since Yesudas took some more breathless moments to complete the song.

A few years back (I think 1 year before my marriage), I got a lucky chance to hear SPB singing this song live......in our nearest temple celebrations.....
I could feel my hairs in hand standing up when I hear him singing live this particular song.......because such an occasion was not even in my distant dreams...IT WAS NOTHING LESS THAN A DREAM
I have heard live orchestra of many Playback singers live.....But this one is so special to my heart, sure :) :)

Yes Shankar Mahadevan's breathless performance was excellant.Its is difficult to sing song and maintaining the SURS in one breath is the toughest task by any singer.I don't think most of the singers could do it.I always like Shankar Mahadevan for his voice and style of singing. :)

What about breathless performance of yesudas and SPB.
Actually....in the second half of song only, Mohanlal singing inside the fire, we see that breathless performance. He won many awards too, including National Award for best actor for this performance.
