Friends a poem on life...read on! B) B)

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Throw away the garbage of melodrama and grief
Enchant your life with smiles and greets
People really adore those sweet nothings

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
A mother’s love, oh how sweet!
She cooks up dishes and makes the home neat
All her body wrinkled with grief

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
A father knows how to build all things
He teaches us ways to live
Yet he stands strong in his belief

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
We have siblings, both big and sweet
Young ones to be played upon
And the big ones to save us from bullies

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Cherish the food that we eat
From milk to meat to even briet
They all make us strong and nourished

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
The joyous wonders, hard to relieve
The time spent with nature’s reef
The adorable beauty of a friend within

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Friends and foes- a collective reach
There they are at life’s every leaf
The exquisite love reigning deep

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Pain inside us-hard to relieve
Have the faith in God Almighty
He health and love, that’s all to be believed

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Animals and pets- we have on leash
They doddle and poodle and cuddle and kiss
But they love us, beyond their reach

Life is short, let’s keep it sweet
Lessons learnt and lessons we teach
Motivates some while it makes others weep
Challenges one while the others just defeat

Oh how wonderful is the world bequeath
With showers of love and dews relish
Put on the bags of trust and belief
Life is short, let’s keep it sweet

By the way, Sarala, I have been writing poems since the age of 12 years; my articles and poetry have been published in "The Hindu" , "The New Indian Express" and "Deccan Chronicle". One of my stories have been printed even in "Tinkle".... :)
