I had seen a Image in that tortoise is eating a bird which came to her. Any one know about this as tortoise is a non-veg eater.

I want to know whether it is Veg or non-vegetarian?

All sea animals are non veg. These eat sea food in form of fish.

I think tortoise is an Omnivorous animal but i am not sure.But its surprising that it can eat bird too.hehehe... :woohoo:

The animals are not forbidden by religion to eat or not eat any food. They even do not know how veg differs from non veg. They just live as they like and bother least about such topics.

Of course religion is not made for animals its only human beings who have made it for themselves.For animals they eat whatever they want to provided they should have the mechanism to digest it like lion cannot eat grass like cows because it does not have the enzymes to digest grass. :) :laugh:

I was reading an article on tortoise eating habits which mentions that almost all tortoises are herbivorous and they eat the food from plant origin only. Only aquatic turtles are carnivorous.

But i think Sheetal all tortoise are aquatic they are not animals who live on land. :)

Not all tortoises are aquatic . there are some tortoises that live in desserts called as dessert tortoises.

Turtles' diet. Meat, chicken, fish, prawns, shrimp and boiled egg whites are all rich in animal proteins and trace elements. Your turtle will absolutely adore most of them, and it will be hard not giving him these as a dominant food in its diet. Taken from this-
