Pakistan Supreme court has disqualified Prime Minister Jalani as Prime Minister. Prima facie this is because of contempt of court. Real issue is that he shielded corruption of President Zardari by refusing to investigate the charges against them saying that incumbent President can not be subjected to investigation. This view was against court decision and hence amounted to contempt of court.

How far this will affect India and what are the likely consequences? Will anti corruption movement get strength from Pakistan event?

Obviously the ripple effects of anti-corruption movement in India can be seen in the latest developments in Pakistan. A bold stand by Pakistan Supreme Court!

Pakistan has been a problematic state for the entire world. Today I read in the newspapers that Pakistan is in the 13th place in a list of failed states of the world competing with nations like Ethiopia,Sudan and Somalia...
First thing- prime minister has no say while dealing with relations with India, second- the party has absolute majority so government not in problem only PM will go. He went trying to save some one else.
There are many tests to rank failed nations. In terms of human development we also enjoy the company of some African states. As far my information even Pakistan ranks higher than us! Shocking but we have to live down this shame!
I could have written a lot more while talking about our status on rank among the top (from below) nations of the world but that would sound so negative to my own ears.
