How to add HTML codes to the article ??

whenever I try to add any HTML code in an article. It's not properly displayed on the page and most of the tags are deleted by the server. I can not understand what is the problem !!

Please tell me how to display codes in an article..

This is a Forum section.You can not define HTML codes here. You can only use the given option like bold,italic ,underline from the tools of the editors. Since it is a Forum so its codes are defined in a new way like for hyperlink it takes [quote] url [/quote]

On forums, you cannot post HTML code. Only editor tools available can be used.

For articles, you can edit your HTML by clicking Edit HTML button on the toolbar. But only basic HTML tags are allowed. Scripts etc will be removed by the editor.
