There are some folk tales on Sir Gentleman snake. There appears no reason why snakes be called gentleman.

I cant think of any snake being called a gentleman ! Now is the season when they try to find warm places and often get into the house especially if a certain room or part of the house is not often used ...It happened at my house once and we wewre all running around with fear... :ohmy:

I think 'rattle snake' is what we call 'Chera' which never bites though it's very lengthy and scary . That may be the reason why it's called gentleman snake
