Day before yesterday i read in newspaper that only 32% of the brides creat problems to their in laws when they get old and 68% are the sons who don't like their parents at old age and become troblesome for them.What do you say? :blink:

But I feel in-laws problems is more than parents-sons problems. I feel so. It's my personal opinion

I acn't say but i don't think these days in laws creat problems they used to do in olden days but not now as the law is so strict these days. :) :blink:

There are all kind of people, this is a simple matter of understanding from both sides, nothing more, nothing less.

Now joint families are rare. Also professional kids away from parents. So problems have reduced very much. Isn't it?

There is no data available on the topic. In different cases, facts will differ. Son or daughter in law- any one of them could be problem maker.

No daughter in law dare go ahead unless supported by son, but some times the sons are helpless and they remain neutral. This all depends on upbringing and understanding.

Yes that's true but i know their are sons who don't remain neutral but do it when their wife asks them to do. :evil:

This depends from person to person and family to family. My wife never did it nor I ever felt the need. Maybe we stayed away for far too long to feel more attraction toward our parents in both sides. I love to love unless not treated bad.

I don't think any amount of statistical information can deny the fact that more and more number of old age homes are coming up and what do they indicate?

Small families could be one of the reasons, because children go off to settle some other places and old people do not want to stay with them for different reasons.

But I know of several cases where there are no such reasons - enough space in houses and flats - but smallness of heart!

Oh space is not the only reason but there are certain other reasons like old people are so attached with their own houses and property that stops them from moving to a new place. Besides if some one has a daughter only, we are living in a tradition to not to go and stay with her, space no consideration.

in my opinion its almost same as when son treats their parents badly then parents think its because of influence of daughter-in-law but that's not true in all cases but in some cases its true.

There are is no hard and fast rule that daughter in law is bad in every cases or son listens to her wife all the time maybe parents are not interested to keep them in their own house and wants their more loved son to acquire the property, so they throw the other one out.

you are absolutely true baby angel.

but there are 2 situations that

both mother in law treats the daughter in law very badly and daughter in law treat mother in law very badly.

both of these cases are different.

yes this s is often found that most daughter in laws dislike their father in lw and mother in law because they thought their old age is a big problem for them.daughter in law thoughts that their in laws restrict a lot.same case happens in case of sons their parents old age is a big problem for them they think their parents are burden for them.

Your observation is right Sj, most women do it through their husbands so they avoid it doing directly. Their purpose is very well solved. There are some parents who act partial also face this problem.
