Actually, it's a bit difficult to write an answer.
Yet try, if you can find that word :P :P :P

If someone calls Sandhya/Sheeja, I may respond as 'enth, entha, entho or simply ummmmm'. What about you?

When some body call me I will say tell me. This is a common word I use. Or chepa ra.
if the number is unknown, i will say hello who are you or yevaru

If i know the number then i say, yes tell me or ha cheyppu

Sarala chup raho means shut up. but chepa ra maens say me.
Me most commonly use a long, 'ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm' to respond!!!

Yes,it feels annoying,when someone calls us by different name.I too get upset when something like this happens.

Most of the people in my home call me saru. and I very rarely respnd 'aaaa'.

Actually i never use my tone. i directly go and attend near that person.

What I may do for you- when in office.
I will call it as:

Haan ji - when at home.

Boliye - when a stranger calls me.

In Tamil I ll say ..if numbers are stored in my contact list..mmm ..sollunga........means say with the name

if they call me through phone, i wil see first if i know the person and react according to the person as ya, yes, tell me, what- like that.
