That really is a bad news. I am one of his great fan. Another Gazal singer gone this year- this is so sad.

Very very sad that the greatest ever Gazhal maestro is no more! Perhaps the greatest tribute has come from another greatest - our respected and beloved Lataji who described his voice as one of God! May his soul rest in peace!

Today, my newspaper is filled with this great personality. A great loss!!!! Earlier Jagjit Singh, Now Mehdi Hassan. When Lataji says, it's God's voice, nothing remains to be explained!!!!!! Yes, it's a great loss!!! Singers live in our hearts, so they never fade!!!

Your query about why Lata is unmarried and the thought that this is because of Mehdi's voice is personal. This is only a gossip matter. Personally, I appreciate artists- actors, singers, dancers' performance only. I never bother about their personal life.
