Investment options
As of now Property and bank deposits seem to be the best option given the volatility of the stock market...
I think property investment is less risky than other options. 1 month before, we have made such an investment
Despite volatility, investment in quality stocks for long term and regular basis is a sound policy. There should be mix of investment in insurance, bank deposits, fixed deposits in banks and post office schemes.

Yes that is a very wise option, dont put all your eggs in one basket :cheer: Post office schemes dont pay much but tax rebate is for a higher amount and that helps..

I think, they can't be withdrawn suddenly
Post Office deposits ? I think there is a minimum lock in period after which you can withdraw but you lose the extra interest that is paid to you..

Absolutely right! What is important to note here that property prices have substantially corrected in other parts of the world but not in India. So a correction is due anytime from now. We must an appropriate portfolio which is fairly representative. Bank deposit-though gives a kind of feeling of security- ranks low in my scheme of things! Besides, the market has entered an extremely oversold zone!
Investments through property is not at all correct. and very risky

No Sarala.....
I don't know the condition of your state....
In Kerala, real estate has grown very much.
In 1999, we bought 25 cents...per cent 5000 rupees. In 2006, we were just to sell it at the time of my marriage for 35,000 per cent. But due to some reasons, it couldn't happen. Now, it's market price is above 1 lakh per cent...even if it has only 1 metre path to that land....(no car or an auto). That's the case of land price here.
If had 3 metre road, the same land would price more than 2 lakh per cent.
That's why real estate is a big business here. Many have earned crores.
Thrissur also, land bought by some big teams, 5000 per cent now costs more than 50,lakh per cent. Can you imagine???
